The guest stands at the booth or at a tablet station and has their photo taken.

A generative AI model turns the photo into a portrait in the event’s style: about 15 seconds on average at TEDxKMCT.

The portrait appears on screen with a QR code to download it. Prints can be added.

After the event the client receives the gallery and a report: sessions, portraits, failed generations, timings and the busiest hour.

How long does an AI portrait take?
About 15 seconds per portrait on average, measured across three stations over a full day at TEDxKMCT 2026: 15.2 seconds at the main booth and just under 15 seconds at the two tablet stations. The guest sees the result on screen and collects it with a QR code.
How many portraits can the AI Portrait Booth produce in a day?
At TEDxKMCT 2026 one main booth and two tablet stations ran 559 booth sessions and produced 520 AI portraits in one day. Stations are planned around the expected guests and the busiest hours, which we ask about when we quote.
Can the AI style match our event?
Yes. Each event gets its own style, designed by XSEDES around the brand, the theme or the speakers’ world, and tested before the doors open. TEDxKMCT 2026 used one style made for the event. Overlays, the guest screen and the QR page can carry the client’s brand.
